What does this mean? End of life? My system is still running? It's not dead!

An end of life date for an operating system (that is Microsoft XP, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows 10, Windows 98, Apple iOS, Linux, etc. Microsoft Office is NOT an operating system), means, most critically, that you are open to Zero-day exploits. That is, you can contract a virus, malware or general bad guy and not even know it, even if you think you are protected by antivirus software.

If you are running any Microsoft Operating system prior to 7, you should start looking for alternatives now. This weekend, you should be at a department store talking to a teenager to try and find a new system. Additional money will need to be spent on your programs, because, they likely will need to be repurchased.... And, don't forget, transferring your data, and potentially, upgrading your data formats so they are compatible with above said system.

Thanks,
Jay
